As Directors of Enriching Young Minds, we pride ourselves on extensive academic study and our experience within most areas of educational practice.
Our classroom repertoire has provided us with the necessary skills to identify & hand pick tutors who demonstrate excellence in working in a one on one environment with primary school students.
It is imperative to have exceptional tutors to enhance the learning experience and academic progress of our students in a context that is relevant, enjoyable, challenging.

Carleen White – Director
In 2001, Carleen graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland. During her last year of studies she was accepted for an internship at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu as an auditor.
Having a young family and passion for children’s development she returned to study a postgraduate of Early Childhood Education at the Queensland University of Technology graduating in 2005.
After graduating, she worked at Silkstone State School and Durack State School before expanding her young family again.
During this time, she stepped out of the education discipline to help her husband with his osteopathic clinic as practice manager as well raise her four children.
Having children ranging from year 12 down to prep of her own, Carleen’s passion for educating children became her focus again, as she became increasingly pivotal in recommending pathways for friends and family to educate from home. Through her own experiences and education, she has seen the many gaps and extensions available to children’s learning when properly advised, and therefore decided to pursue a tutoring business with strong emphasis on narrowing the gaps in the curriculum that she observed.
Carleen believes that scaffolding children’s knowledge whether they need assistance or further extension work is vital to enable each individual to blossom at their own pace.
With so many learning styles and teaching styles available, it is imperative to further educate your children, and not leave any learning to chance. Enriching Young Minds was conceived to help bridge gaps in children’s learning and empowering parents to take control of their child’s educational life creating a holistic experience between tutor, teacher, parent and the child.
